The weekend is coming to an end and I’ve had a restful two weeks of vacation. It’s time to go back to work and hit it at full throttle. At the store today, I came across this deck of cards with Aviator written on it. I thought it was a neat, simple, vintage design. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to fly. When I was a baby, my parents would go to the airport and park by the end of the runway and massive birds of steel would fly over us. I was very fascinated by these creatures. The noise of the jet engines at idle would soothe me to sleep, and even to this day; I think it’s the most awesome noise in this world. Especially when max power is being applied and the loud thunderous roar cannot simply be ignored.
Ending note: I’d like to share one of my favorite quotes of all time. “For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.” ~Leonardo da Vinci
Little by little, my blog is taking shape and form. I’ve very excited about this small project and be able to share with the world of what I do. Today was a laid back kind of day consisting of watching numerous documentaries. Some very exciting, others very informative, and some that were heartbreaking. I would like to share with you the story of Mark Wedeven. He embarks on a journey trying to discover himself. Little did he know, his trip would have amiss outcomes. See his story by clicking here.
Ending note: Make sure not to continue this year without a vision. If you need to, write your goals down and place them up where you can see them every day. Goals without actions are just dreams…
It’s my birthday! Another year has passed me by and I’m officially 26 today. I have to admit, I have mixed emotions about it. On the one hand, I’m almost the dirty thirty, and in the other, so what? I feel like I should have so much more accomplished by now, especially when I compared myself to my other friends, and I have reached to this conclusion; Don’t compare yourself to others. EVER! Everyone is on a different timeline due to circumstances that you may have reached in your life. As long as you are working towards a goal, regardless on how fast or slow you’re going, DO NOT STOP.
Ending note: Take on this year is if it were your last, always asks questions, get outside your comfort zone, and always push your limits. With God’s help, nothing is impossible. Bring it on 2013!
Let me commence by saying Happy New Year! I have been meaning to start a blog for quite some time now, however, I’ve always seem to be “too busy.” The AM Reflection is a simple collection of my thoughts and life experiences for self-improvement. Welcome to my journey…
